All students should start applying as soon as they can, and make note of all scholarship deadlines. Usually, deadlines are set early and concrete. Applicants should also make sure they read and re-read all the requirements for earning the scholarship – finding out after you’ve done all the work on an application package and don’t actually qualify is disheartening and frustrating. Finally, no matter where students are in the scholarship application process, they should stay involved with their local communities and on top of their schoolwork so they can maintain a high GPA.
